Youth Ministry

The Ministry is focused on the engagement and involvement of young people in our Church and our community.

We aim to see young people come to know and follow Jesus Christ, and all of our activities and efforts go to furthering that objective, in ways that encourage them to live meaningful lives in the Kingdom.

"Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart." -  2 Timothy 2:22

Usher's Ministry

THE NATIONAL USHER’S GUILD OF THE CHURCH OF GOD

The National Usher’s Guild are our doorkeepers!

They are a core of dedicated, trained and Christ-focused adult and junior ushers, intending to exemplify excellence through their service. The main objective and primary purpose of this ministry is to serve. Serve God. Serve people.

The Guild functions on a national church level, offering support to the leadership in whatever way needed for the advancement of the gospel. These ushers also serve in the 18 local congregations across the island.

Over the years, extensive training in Ushering, Protocol, First Aid and Teambuilding have been held to assist in the development of members who always stand on guard to address any needs that may arise.

Women’s Ministry

The National Women of the Church of God is the ladies outreach arm of the Church of God Reformation Movement Barbados. The Ministry was established as the Dorcas Society in April 1954 and then the Women Missionary Society in 1960. The current name, National Women of the Church of God, was adopted in 1980 in keeping with our sisters in the United States of America. The first President was the late Sis. Lanthe Standard and the lone surviving founding member is her daughter, Evangelist Deane Standard Haynes (U.S.A.).

The mission of the National Women of the Church of God (NWCG) is to extend the gospel of Jesus Christ, promote spiritual and personal growth, build friendships and interdependence, widen mental horizons and enlarge vision, encourage the stewardship of all of life, and support the united ministries and beliefs of the Church of God through gifts of finance and leadership.

The NWCG is composed of the Women of the Church of God's 18 member churches and is open to all women 18 years of age and older. The NWCG looks forward to the day when every woman is a member of the Women’s Ministry and achieves her full potential not only spiritually but socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, financially and creatively.

There’s not a place in earth or heaven,
There’s not a task to mankind given
There’s not a blessing or a woe,
There’s not a whispered ‘yes’ or ‘no’
There’s not a life or death or birth
That has a feather’s weight of worth –
 Without a woman in it.
